Baseball America has a handy little post with all 30 Major League teams' minor-league free agents. For our purposes, here are the Astros' minor-league free agents (with statistical context provided to you, free of charge, by Astros County):
Luis Alvarez
Alvarez has spent his entire career with the Astros, debuting as a 17-year old in the Venezuelan Summer League. The catcher played at four different levels in 2013 (Tri-City, Quad Cities, Lancaster, and Corpus), hitting .282/.340/.511 in 41 games.
Michael Burgess
Burgess spent 2007-2010 with the Nationals' organization before sliding over to the Cubs for 2011-2012. He landed with Corpus in 2013, where he hit .203/.278/.378 with 12HR in 98 games.
Cody Clark
Cody Clark - perhaps the most heart-warming story of 2013 - is a minor-league free agent. When Castro went down with the knee cyst and Max Stassi got plunked in the coconut, Clark - who had been in the minors since 2003 (645 games/2337 PAs) got called up. He didn't hit all that well, but he threw out seven of 13 base runners.
Sergio Escalona
Escalona threw in 49 games for the 2011 Astros, posting a 2.93 ERA/1.27 WHIP in 27.2IP as a LOOGY. He missed all of 2012 due to injury, and only threw 15IP in 2013 for Corpus, where he posted a 6.60 ERA/2.07 WHIP.
Murilo Gouvea
Gouvea came to the Astros from the White Sox in 2009, and did not pitch in 2013. For Lexington, in 2012, Gouvea was 2-7 with a 3.71 ERA/1.17 WHIP, with 87K:29BB in 77.2IP.
Cameron Lamb
24-year old Australian reliever Cameron Lamb threw for three Astros affiliated in 2013 for a total of 58.2IP, with a 4.60 ERA/1.52 WHIP with 40K:23BB. Oddly, his best stretch was 19 games for Lancaster, where he had a season-best 3.95 ERA/1.35 WHIP.
Che-Hsuan Lin
Lin came over to the Astros last off-season after spending his career in the Red Sox organization. He got three hits for the Red Sox in 2012 (two in his 2012 season finale against the Yankees). For OKC in 2013, Lin hit .234/.356/.309 with an impressive 56K:60BB. He's a career .253/.349/.339 hitter in the minors.
Jose Martinez
Martinez, an infielder who spent most of his time in 2013 at 2B, played in 81 games for OKC hitting .282/.316/.410. He's a career .278/.326/.408 hitter between the Cardinals and Astros organizations. The Batguy wrote a nice thing about him in April 2012.
Carlos Quevedo
Quevedo has spent his entire career with the Astros' organization. In 2013, he threw 85IP between Lancaster and Corpus - but 81.2IP of those came at Double-A, where he allowed a 3.53 ERA/1.21 WHIP, with 59K:20BB and 14HR. He has a career walk rate of 1.5 BB/9 and a 4.64 K:BB ratio.
Former Astros on the list include:
Edwin Maysonet (CHC), Brian Bixler (NYM), Fernando Martinez (NYY), Travis Buck (SD), Jason Jaramillo (SEA), Travis Blackley (TEX), Jimmy VanOstrand (WSH) and Jason Michaels (WSH).

All sorts of roster moves
So another day, another injury as Rule 5 pick Josh Fields goes on the DL with a right forearm strain. Here's how the dominoes fall...
*Paul Clemens has been called up from Oklahoma City, and will be in uniform tonight in Seattle.
*Ross Seaton has gone from Corpus to Oklahoma City, and Carlos Quevedo is in Corpus from Lancaster.
Clemens came to the organization in the Michael Bourn trade, and will be the 2nd of that group of four players to wear an Astros uni (the immortal Jordan Schafer being the 1st). In 2012, he was an overall 11-10 with a 5.78 ERA/1.60 WHIP, with most of the damage coming at Oklahoma City (8-8, but with a 6.73 ERA/1.74 WHIP - 145 hits and 32 walks in 101.2IP).
Fields' injury seems to be more precautionary than anything horrific (Two Full Weilands on the Scale of Arm Injuries).
So why Clemens and not, say, Jordan Lyles? Luhnow is the aforelinked...um, link that Clemens' ability to come out of the bullpen played a role (Clemens fared well out of the bullpen in Spring Training).
UPDATE: As mentioned in the comments, I am stupid. Juan Abreu already debuted for the Astros in addition to Schafer. So Brett Oberholtzer is the only player in that trade to not make it to Houston yet.

In Review: Tri-City ValleyCats
And now we get to turn our attention to the NYPL Champion Tri-City ValleyCats.
The ValleyCats finished the regular season 38-36, a half-game better than the Connecticut Tigers to win the NYP-Stedler Division.
Home: 19-17
Away: 19-19
Of course, the ValleyCats defeated the Batavia Muckdogs in the 1st Round of the NYPL playoffs, and defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones - who had the best record in the NYPL - in two games for the Championship.
The average age of the ValleyCats' batters was 21.5, just a touch over the NYPL average (21.1). The pitching staff's average age was the same (21.5), while the NYPL pitchers' average was 21.3.

*We should note that Tommy Shirley made five starts, pitching 17IP, and did not allow a run. That's solid.
Offensive Employee of the Year: This one was difficult, because while Ben Heath and Dan Adamson put up big numbers, Ben Orloff - in a repeat NYPL performance - was a pretty great lead-off man. Getting on base at a .405 clip, he did his best Ichiro impression, mainly getting on with singles (69 of his 73 hits were for singles), but he also stole 23 bases, getting thrown out just five times, for an 82.1% success rate. Ben Orloff is your Astros County Offensive Employee of the Year.
Pitcher of the Year: Carlos Quevedo. There were a few possibilities here, but Quevedo is our choice for Astros County's Pitching Employee of the Year. His WHIP was under 1.00. There were only two pitchers in the top 40 - ordered by IP - who walked fewer than ten batters all season long. The other? Tri-City's Bobby Doran. Williamsport's Eric Pettis walked seven batters, but in 26 fewer IPs. Win.

And now for some reaction to the ValleyCats' championship
Manager Jim Pankovits:
“I’m speechless right now. I can’t say enough about this pitching staff. They all rose to the occasion. It’s just a phenomenal feeling right now. This is what it’s all about...
...“I was sweating. No doubt about it. That’s an unbelievable ballclub over there. We earned it.”
Carlos Quevedo:
“I never gave up. This is the best game of my life and my career.”
Enrique Hernandez:
"This is the greatest; awesome."
Ben Orloff:
"This is awesome. Can't ask for better. Any individual award you may win doesn't compare with a championship...I don't think we were picturing this right here. Amazing!"
Brooklyn manager Wally Backman:
“My guys were overwhelmed — and we didn’t look prepared. Like we were improvising out there. So, yeah, I’m pissed. But they’ve got to learn this [losing] feeling themselves...
...“I would have liked to see more ‘rah-rah-rah’ out the guys, more standing on the top step than sitting on the bench. The bottom line is that we were outpitched.”

Nice things are being said about Carlos Quevedo
In Zach Levine's Minor League Notebook, Tri-City manager Jim Pankovits has some nice things to say about pitcher Carlos Quevedo, who has a Cliff Lee-esque K:BB ratio (51K:7BB in 79.1IP)
Pankovits:
"He's pitched better than his numbers, believe it or not. He's an unbelievable competitor, a very smart, heady kid that knows how to pitch, recognizes swings, makes adjustments very quickly and astutely. He's got a bright future. I've got him as a big league prospect and one of the best in this league."
Quevedo:
"I feel bad when I walk hitters, because I have good command."
