Oklahoma City (56-40) 

OKC rallied back from a four run deficit to beat Omaha (KC) 7-6 in 10 innings.

Paul Clemens went 4.1 innings and gave up 6 R on 8 H and 2 BB with 5 K. Mickey Storey threw 1.1 scoreless with 3 H and 1 K. Xavier Cedeno went 1 scoreless with 1 K. Juan Abreu pitched 2.1 innings with 3 K. David Carpenter threw 1 inning with 1 H and 1 K.

CF-Brandon Barnes was 2x5 with 1 3B, 1 HR, and 2 R. 2B-Jimmy Paredes was 3x5 with 1 R and 1 RBI. 1B-Brett Wallace was 3x5 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 R, and 3 RBI.

The Hooks scored early and often on their way to beating Midland (OAK) 9-3.

After falling two runs behind in the first inning, the JetHawks chipped away at San Jose (SFG), eventually coming away with the 4-3 victory.

Bobby Doran went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 R on 4 H and 3 BB with 4 K. Pat Urckfitz threw 2.2 innings, allowing 1 R on 2 H with 2 K.

The RedHawks couldn’t get anything going against New Orleans (MIA), getting shutout 8-0.

Armando Galarraga threw 5 innings, allowing 5 R on 6 H and 5 BB with 3 K. Aneury Rodriguez pitched 3 innings and gave up 3 R on 3 H and 1 BB with 2 K. Jannathan Aristil went the final 2 innings with 1 H and 2 K.

3B-Matt Dominguez was 2x3 with 1 BB and 1 2B. PH/LF-JB Shuck was 1x2 with 1 BB.

*Notes: Carlos Corporan currently leads all PCL catchers in CS% at 43.6 %. Angel Sanchez has a nine game hit streak. He’s hitting .433 over that stretch.

The Hooks dropped a wild back-and-forth game against Frisco (TEX) 11-7.

Rob Rasmussen lasted 3 innings, giving up 6 R on 8 H and 1 BB. Erick Abreu threw 2 innings, allowing 1 R on 4 H with 1 K. Henry Villar threw 2 innings, allowing 1 R on 3 H. Josh Zeid pitched 2 innings and gave up 3 R on 4 H with 2 K.

Jorge De Leon threw 5 innings and gave up 6 R on 9 H and 2 BB with 3 K. Pat Urckfitz pitched 2 innings, allowing 2 R on 4 H with 3 K. Kirk Clark went 1 inning, allowing 3 R on 2 H and 2 BB with 2 K. Jose Trinidad threw 1 inning with 2 H and 1 K.

The excitement of the last several games finally caught up with Lexington as the Legends lost 9-4 to Hagerstown (WSH).

Juri Perez threw 4 innings and gave up 5 R on 6 H and 3 BB with 6 K. Evan Grills pitched 2 innings, allowing 3 R on 4 H with 1 K. Nathan Pettus went 3 innings and allowed 1 R on 4 H and 2 BB with 1 K.

SS-Nolan Fontana was 3x4 with 1 R. RF-Mike Kvasnicka was 2x4 with 1 R and 2 RBI. DH-Chan Moon was 2x4 with 2 2B and 2 RBI.

The ValleyCats scored six runs in the third inning as they cruised to an 11-1 victory over Jamestown (MIA).

Oklahoma City (38-26)

OKC took a 3-2 lead into the 9th, and left with a 4-3 loss at New Orleans. Armando Galarraga threw 4.2IP, 2H/0ER, 1K:2BB; Adalberto Flores allowed 3H/2ER, 1K:3BB in 2IP; Juan Abreu walked one batter in 1.1IP, and Jose Valdez got the BS/L with 3H/2ER, 1K:1BB in the 9th.

Carlos Corporan had the only multi-hit game, going 2x3, while Brandon Barnes had 2RBI and Angel Sanchez hit his 4th homer of the season. As a whole, the RedHawks struck out 10 times, and didn't draw a walk.

Corpus (32-30)

The Hooks scored the final four runs of the game in a 5-1 win over San Antonio. Jose Cisnero threw 7IP, 6H/1ER, 6K:0BB, while Josh Zeid threw a perfect 8th inning and Jason Stoffel lowered his ERA to 1.32 with 1H/0ER, 1K:0BB in the 9th.

Jon Singleton was 2x3 with twou doubles and a walk; Jair Fernandez also had two hits on the night, while Jose Martinez hit a 3-run homer in the 6th. Jonathan Villar drew two walks, and Drew Locke was 1x3 with a walk and a stolen base to lower his batting average to .462 since returning to Corpus.

Lancaster (33-32)

The JetHawks were down 2-1 heading into the 8th, got three in the top of the inning to take a 4-2 lead, but gave up three in the bottom of the 9th for a 5-4 loss at Rancho Cucamonga. Bobby Doran threw 6IP, allowing 5H/2R (1ER), 3K:3BB; Andrew Robinson struck out three in 2IP; Jason Chowning got the BS/L with 3H/3ER when Kirk Clark allowed two hits and a walk, allowing the game-winning runs to score.

Enrique Hernandez had your only 2-hit game of the night, while George Springer hit his 12th homer of the season, and Domingo Santana had a 2RBI single.

Lexington (36-27)

Lexington jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one inning, and rode it out for a 6-4 win against West Virginia. Jonas Dufek allowed 8H/4ER, 6K:0BB in 7IP, and Murilo Gouvea and Dayan Diaz held WV hitless over the final two innings. Diaz' ERA is now 0.88, having allowed 1H/0ER, with 5K:0BB in his last 6.1IP.

Mike Kvasnicka was 3x4 with a 2-run homer and a double; Delino DeShields was 2x4 with a walk, and Matt Duffy and Drew Muren each had two RBIs.

The RedHawks won 4-3 over Iowa (CHC) in exciting fashion, as Brad Snyder launched a two-out three-run walk-off homer.

Wes Musick went 6 innings and allowed 3 R (2 earned) on just 3 H with 1 K. Sergio Perez, Chris Hicks, and Enerio Del Rosario each contributed 1 scoreless inning in relief.

2B-Jimmy Paredes was 2x4 with 1 R and 1 error. RF-Brad Snyder was 2x4 with 1 HR, 1 SB, 2 R, and 3 RBI. CF-Brandon Barnes was 2x3 with 1 RBI. SS-Angel Sanchez went 2x3.

The Legends attempt to come back against Lakewood (PHI) fell just short as they lost 5-4.

Luis Cruz was rocked in 2 innings, giving up 5 R on 4 H and 5 BB with 2 K. Gabriel Garcia threw 4 scoreless innings with 3 H and 3 K. Euris Quezada went 1.2 scoreless with 1 H, 1 BB, and 3 K. Murilo Gouvea got the last batter to strikeout.

The Astros got their first win of the season 5-2 against the Cardinals.

Oklahoma City (19-17) 

The bullpen nearly squandered the six run lead Paul Clemens turned over to them, but the RedHawks were able to hold on against Tucson (SD) 6-5.

Paul Clemens turned in 7 shutout innings, allowing just 3 H with 6 K. Mickey Storey gave up 3 R in .2 innings on 3 H. Enerio Del Rosario allowed 2 R in .1 innings on 3 H with 1 K. Jose Valdez shut the door on the Padres with 1 perfect inning with 1 K.

RF-Fernando Martinez was 2x4 with 1 R and 1 RBI. 1B-Mike Hessman went 2x4 with 1 HR and 2 R. 2B-Jimmy Paredes was 2x4 with 2 RBI. C-Landon Powell went 2x4.

Corpus lost a tough one in 12 innings, falling 2-1 to Frisco (TEX).

Jake Buchanan got an impressive 16 groundouts in 7.2 innings while allowing 1 R on 6 H and 2 BB with 1 K. Wes Musick walked the only two batters he faced. Josh Zeid, Kevin Chapman, and Jason Stoffel all pitched one scoreless inning. Alex Sogard took the loss with 1 R allowed in 1 inning on 2 H and 1 BB with 1 K.

The Legends pitching staff couldn’t find anyone to chill the Suns’ offense as they lost 7-5 to Hagerstown (WSH)

The stuff of Legends

The Lexington Legends recently passed through my area to play a three game series against the Greenville Drive, where they won two of three to take the series. During their stay in Greenville I was able to learn a bit more about several members of the team.

After hitting just .207/.294/.287 in 49 games last year, 2011 27th round pick Alex Todd has turned things around so far this season. The Lexington shortstop is hitting .321/.404/.432 and has drastically improved his strikeout and walk rates while also improving his defense. He was nice enough to answer a quick question prior to Friday's game.

I was also able to get several minutes with Lexington hitting coach Josh Bonifay and we talked about a handful of interesting players.

Mike Kvasnicka was a first round pick in 2010 as a third baseman, despite being generally regarded as a better catching prospect. After hitting .260/.328/.368 last season while playing a terrible third base, Astros new management decided to move Kvasnicka back behind the plate. So far he's made the transition defensively, but his offense is a different story. His line so far is .143/.200/.274.

Matt Duffy was a 20th round pick in 2011 and, due to the perceived lack of third base prospects in the Astros system, a lot of people were looking for him to breakout this year. After a promising .298/.370/.417 last year, he's working to fulfill those wishes as he's hitting .328/.378/.509 this year for Lexington. He's also doubled his home runs in half the at bats.

Delino DeShields Jr. is in a similar situation as Kvasnicka. As a first round pick in 2010, DeShields has been tasked with a position change as he transitions from center field to second base. Last season was his first at the new position and he struggled to a line of .220/.305/.322. This season he's looked like a different player, especially on defense, as his offense has improved more than his .255/.362/.355 line would indicate. His walk and strikeout rates have both improved and he's a perfect 18 for 18 in stolen base attempts so far.

Zach Johnson exploded onto the scene early this year, but has cooled off as late. The 2011 15th round pick hit .262/.339/.369 last season, showing little power for a first baseman. This season we've seen a dramatic increase in extra base hits as well as a much improved walk rate, leading to a line of .268/.364/.491 with as many extra base hits in just 112 at bats as he had last season in 271 at bats.

Drew Muren is an interesting player. The 2011 20th round pick is a lanky 6'6" 195 pound center fielder with a cannon for an arm. While his .270/.327/.393 line may not look that intriguing his size alone makes him stand out.

The last player we talked about was 2010 14th round pick Jordan Scott. The left fielder was named the Greeneville Astros MVP last year and hit .301/.372/.370 across three levels last season. He started hot this season, but has cooled considerably to a line of .253/.374/.273. He's obviously still getting on base, but needs to get back to making better contact and could stand to hit for a little more power, as well.

Oklahoma City (17-14) 

The RedHawks lost their second straight game on a walk-off, losing 10-7 to Omaha (KC).

Henry Sosa went 5 innings and gave up 7 runs (5 earned) on 7 H and 3 BB with 1 K. Adalberto Flores threw two scoreless innings with 1 BB and 2 K to allow OKC to get back into the game. Juan Abreu gave up the walk-off HR after going 1.2 innings. He allowed 3 R on 2 H and 1 BB with 2 K.

2B-Brian Bixler was 0x2 with 3 BB, 1 R, and 1 RBI. DH-Scott Moore went 1x4 with 1 BB and 1 HR. CF-Justin Ruggiano was 2x4 with 1 BB, 1 HR and 2 RBI. Jake Buchanan had a rough day, lasting just 4 innings, plus four batters in the fifth, and allowing 7 R on 9 H, including 3 HR, 1 HBP, and 1 BB with 3 K. Jonnathan Aristil pitched 1 inning without getting charged with a run, with 1 K. Josh Zeid allowed 2 R on 3 H and 1 BB with 1 K in 1 IP. Arcenio Leon went 2 innings and gave up 1 R on 2 H and 2 BB with 4 K. Kevin Chapman pitched the final inning, allowing 2 BB with 1 K

Luis Ordosgiotti’s Lexington debut was a rough one as the Legends fell to Asheville (COL) 8-5.

Ordosgiotti went just 3.2 innings and got tagged for 7 runs (6 earned) on 11 H with 5 K. Nathan Pettus threw 3.1 innings allowing just 1 solo HR and 1 BB with 3 K. Euris Quezada pitched a scoreless inning to finish up.

Despite hitting three doubles in Monday’s game, OKC couldn’t get anything going offensively as they lost 5-0 to Albuquerque (LAD).

Brett Oberholtzer pitched well through five innings in his AAA debut. Unfortunately, he ended up with 5.1 IP, allowing 4 R on 7 H and 1 BB with 3 K.

RF-JB Shuck was 2x4. CF-Justin Ruggiano went 1x3 with 1 BB and 1 2B. The team went 0x10 with runners in scoring position.

If you had "Mike Kvasnicka" in the First Astros Player to Three Posts In the First Two Days of Spring Training pool, come to the window to collect your money. Zachary Levine says that moving behind the plate was Kvasnicka's idea.

Kvasnicka:
“I put in a lot of work and I didn’t shy away from any of the extra work at third base, but I just let them know at the end of the year that I didn’t feel quite natural back there. I was just wondering if they could give it a thought over the offseason. Then I got a call probably a couple months ago and they said ‘dust off your gear, grab a cup, you’re gonna need it.’”

"Grab a cup, you're gonna need it" should definitely be the slogan for the 2012 Astros.

Kvasnicka back to catcher

We're going to save you all the minutiae of the Astros' opening of Spring Training ("Everyone looks good." "Here's someone walking around." "Look at this f-ing hipster center fielder." Et cetera.) but we do already have an important note on the minor-league side:

Mike Kvasnicka has been moved back to catcher.

Kvasnicka was a catcher at the University of Minnesota, but the Astros drafted him as a 3B, and in 141 games at 3B between Tri-City and Lexington, Kvasnicka had an .895 Fld% while hitting .251/.320/.357. Obviously this slash line is more suited for catching things the pitcher throws, rather than what gets smashed down the left field line.

So the Astros have moved him back behind the plate.

Eddie's Farm: July 25

Oklahoma City (46-57)

SWEEP. OKC allows two Memphis runs in the top of the 1st, but then scores the next eight runs of the game for an 8-2 win over Memphis. Sergio Perez allowed 5IP, 7H/2ER, 1K:0BB; Mickey Storey gave up two hits and a walk in 0.1IP, leaving the bases loaded for Doug Arguello, who got out of it, and ultimately just allowed 1H/0ER, 2K:1BB in 1.1IP. Ross Wolf threw 1.1 hitless IP, and Jeff Fulchino closed it out with two Ks in the 9th.

The JetHawks had a 4-3 lead going into the 8th, but gave up a run in each of the 8th and 9th innings for a 5-4 loss to Lake Elsinore. Our Boy Andrew Robinson threw 6IP, 6H/3ER, 5K:4BB; Wes Musick allowed an ER in 1.1IP with Kirk Clark giving up Musick's run, Shane Wolf gave up the go-ahead run, and Bobby Doran continued his easing back into pitching, facing the final two batters, and giving up a hit.

Adam Bailey was 2x5 with a homer, 2RBI, and Grant Hogue was 2x3 with a double, walk, and a stolen base. Jonathan Meyer was 1x3 with a double and two walks. Austin Wates also had a hit and two walks.

Modesto had an answer for every late inning run the JetHawks put up, taking the game 6-4 from Lancaster. Bobby Doran only threw 1+_IP, allowing 2H/2ER, 1K:2BB before being lifted for Mike Ness, who threw 5IP, 7H/1ER, 3K:0BB in relief. Wander Alvino took the loss, giving up 1H/3R (2ER), 1K:4BB.

Austin Wates was 3x4 with a double and a stolen base; Erik Castro and Miguel Arrendell were both 2x4, and Kody Hinze hit his 14th homer of the year.

Lexington (26-28)

Lexington scored three late runs for a 3-1 win over West Virginia. Alex Sogard allowed 6H/1ER, 5K:1BB in 5IP, while Brian Streilein threw 3IP, 1H/0ER, 1K:2BB and got the win. Jorge De Leon struck out the side for his 6th save of the year.

Mike Kvasnicka was 2x4 with a two-run, go-ahead homer in the 8th. Adam Bailey also hit his 12th homer of the year and had an outfield assist, throwing out a runner at home from RF. Ben Orloff was 2x4.

DSL Astros (2-3)

The DSL Astros overcame a 7-1 deficit for a 9-7 win over the DSL Mets2 (which sounds like what my wireless is called). Edgar Ferreira allowed 2H/5ER, 3K:3BB, 2WP in 1.1IP. Yeudy Perdomo allowed two of Ferreira's runs, and one earned run of his own in 2.2IP. Ambiorix DeLeon threw 3IP, 0H/0ER, 2K:1BB and Manuel Sanchez walked one in 2IP. So in the final five innings, the DSL Astros' bullpen allowed 0H/0ER, 4K:2BB.

Tomas De La Cruz went 2x3 with an RBI; Jose Solano was 1x2 with 3BB, Darwin Rivera was 1x1 with a walk and 2RBI in a pinch-hit/DH role.

Jordan Lyles did what he does and Brandon Barnes came up huge as OKC beat Fresno 5-1. Lyles allowed 4H/0ER, 1K:1BB in 6IP to improve to 3-3. Francis Beltran threw 1IP, 1H/1ER, 1K:1BB, 1HR in his OKC debut. Fernando Abad threw 1.1 perfect IP, and Ross Wolf got the last two outs of the night.

Brandon Barnes was 2x4 with 2HR/3RBI, Robinson Cancel was 2x4 with a solo homer to extend his hitting streak to 16 games. Drew Locke and Tommy Manzella were each 2x4 as the RedHawks beat up on former Astros minor-leaguer Shane Loux for 9H/4ER in 7IP.

Corpus (17-28)

Oof. Springfield jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the 1st inning, and Corpus made a run at it, closing the lead to 6-4 before the Cardinals rattled off two straight 3-run innings for a 12-6 win over Corpus. Kyle Greenwalt allowed 7H/6ER, 1K:1BB, throwing 30 pitches and recording just one out. Shane Wolf allowed 8H/6ER, 1K:1BB, 3HR in 4IP of "relief," while Arcenio Leon, Matt Nevarez, and Sam Gervacio made scoreless outings.

Jimmy Paredes and Jimmy Van Ostrand each had two hits, with a double and an RBI, while Jake Goebbert hit his 3rd homer for Corpus. Federico Hernandez was 1x4 with a double and 2RBI.

Lancaster (18-28)

Good Lord. Rancho Cucamonga put up 25 runs for a 25-9 win over Lancaster. Before we get into The Ugly, Rancho Cucamonga got out to a 10-0 lead before the JetHawks answered with a 5-run 7th inning. Then the Quakes got 15 more runs, including eleven runs in the top of the 9th. They "only" had 19 hits, but nine of those were for extra bases (three doubles, two triples, and five homers). Of those 25 runs, 19 were actually earned, and JetHawks pitchers walked 13 Quakes batters. Let's do this:

Tommy Manzella did most of the work, and OKC defeated Tacoma 10-5. Sergio Perez allowed 13 baserunners (9H/4BB), but limited the damage to 3ER in 5.1IP. Andy Van Hekken allowed 3H but 3K:0BB in 1.2IP. Erick Abreu had a rough one, giving up 1H/2ER, 1K:3BB in 0.1IP.

Manzella got himself a cycle, hitting the homer in the 8th, and ending up 4x4 with 3RBI. Anderson Hernandez (2x4, BB) and Brandon Barnes (2BB) also hit homers. Jason Michaels was 2x4 with two doubles, a walk, and an RBI. Matter of fact, eight different RedHawks had RBIs, despite going 3x12 w/RISP.

That's a six-game losing streak for the Hooks - which just so happens to coincide with when J.D. Martinez went down with a hamstring injury - as they get swept at San Antonio with a 7-3 loss. Wes Musick took the loss, however, with 5H/5ER, 1K:1BB in 1.1IP. Mike Ness allowed 2H/1ER, 2K:1BB in 2IP, and Wander Alvino allowed one of Ness' runs with 1H in 0.2IP. The JetHawks pitching also allowed 8SB by San Jose.

Jay Austin was 2x5 with two doubles, while Johnathan Villar (double, 2RBI) and Jose Altuve (RBI) had two hits each. The JetHawks also got RBIs from Austin Wates, Jonathan Meyer, and Ben Heath.

Lexington had a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the 5th, but Kannapolis broke out for a 7-3 win. Juan Minaya allowed 7H/3ER, 1K:2BB, 2WP in 5.2IP. Alex Sogard gave up 5H/4R (3ER), 3K:0BB, HBP in 2IP. Brian Streilein got the final out with two men on.

Mike Kvasnicka was 3x4 with an RBI, and Adam Bailey and Bryce Lane (BB, RBI) had two hits each. Tyler Burnett had a triple, and Delino DeShields had an RBI double.

Georgia prep with major league bloodlines is struggling so far: .200/.274/.307 for Low-A Lexington in the Sally League. Appears quite raw, has been caught stealing four times in ten attempts, has already made seven errors at second base, plate discipline poor.

On Mike Foltynewicz:
Struggling thus far, but not out of expectation for an Illinois cold-weather high school guy who is just 19 years old. Reportedly very impressive in spring training.

And Mike Kvasnicka:
Better than his weak NY-P performance last year, but the BB/K isn't great, and his defense at third base remains rough, with eight errors in 21 games.

Good rundown of the 1st round, and it's always interesting to see how the hitters stack up against each other, even with a small sample size.

Oklahoma City (4-10)

Jeebus, I hate Round Rock. Hate them so much. Express win again, 6-3. Fernando Nieve allowed 12H/5ER, 3K:3BB in 5IP. Gustavo Chacin allowed 2H/1ER, 2K:1BB, HBP in 2IP (but got out of a bases-loaded jam without allowing a run, left to him by Nieve), and Sergio Escalona struck out three in 1.1IP.

Carlos Corporan hit a homer for the second straight game, and Brian Dopirak added a double. J.B. Shuck was 1x2 with 2BB and a SB. Koby Clemens posted his third straight 0x4 - all against Round Rock.

High scoring affair last night as Stockton and Lancaster were tied at 7-7 going into the 8th, with Stockton leading by the final margin of 13-10 by the time the inning was over. Bobby Doran allowed 8H/7ER, 5K:2BB in 4.1IP; Wes Musick took the loss, giving up 5H/4ER, 5K:2BB in 3IP; Mike Ness allowed 4H/2ER (including 2ER charged to Musick), 1K:3BB in 1IP, and Colton Pitkin got the final two batters of the game without incident.

Jose Altuve was 3x5, Erik Castro was 2x2 with a HR, 2RBI, 2BB, and Kody Hinze was 2x5 with a double and his 6th HR of the season. Jay Austin was 1x4 with a walk and 3RBI.

For the second game in a row, Savannah took advantage of a big late inning, this time scoring four in the 8th for a 6-5 win over Lexington. Carlos Quevedo threw 5IP, 8H/1R (0ER), 3K:1BB; Jorge De Leon got lit up for 4H/3ER, WP, Balk, in 2IP, and two of those ER came courtesy of Alex Sogard, who allowed 1H/2ER, 1K:2BB of his own in 0.2IP. David Martinez gave up a hit that allowed two runs charged to Sogard in 0.1IP.

Mike Kvasnicka was 3x4, with a double/triple/RBI; Roberto Pena was 2x4 with a double; Chris Wallace hit his 6th homer and added another RBI.

Fernando Nieve performed about as expected, allowing 9H/7R (5ER), 6K:1BB in 4.1IP. This was assisted by two errors (Dopirak and Cancel). Although there were a couple of bright spots in the bullpen - Ryan Rowland-Smith, who threw 2.2IP, 2H/0ER, 4K:1BB; and Wesley Wright, who threw a perfect 8th inning. The RedHawks offense had seven hits among seven different players, with Brian Dopirak providing a double, the only extra-base hit.

It took 14 innings, but Northwest Arkansas topped the Hooks 3-2. The Hooks had a 2-1 lead in the 12th, but gave the run right back on a homer allowed by Patrick Urckfitz. Dallas Keuchel was solid in his season debut, throwing 6IP, 5H/1ER, 3K:0BB. Erick Abreu contributed 4IP, 2H/0ER, 3K:1BB in relief. Urckfitz gave up 2H/1ER, 2K:4BB in 3IP, and David Berner got the loss with 0.1IP, 2H/1ER, 0K:2BB. The Hooks were held to five hits over 14 innings, and collectively struck out 12 times to two walks. Wladimir Sutil stole two bases, while Jimmy Paredes and T.J. Steele added an SB each.

Lancaster dropped the series finale to High Desert with a 3-1 loss. Jake Buchanan pitched well enough, going 7IP, 6H/3R (1ER), 5K:0BB - with errors by Buchanan, Goebbert, and Villar. Buchanan got 15 groundball outs and two flyball outs. Colton Pitkin allowed 1H/0ER, with 3K:0BB in 2IP. Hits were provided by Jonathan Villar, Austin Wates (RBI), Rene Garcia, and Jose Altuve (2B, BB) - who is hitting .467 on the young season.

And Lexington brought Eddie's Farm its lone win of the day with a 12-4 victory over Charleston. Carlos Quevedo threw 6IP, 7H/3ER, 3K:0BB, and Alex Sogard finished it off with 3IP, 2H/1ER, 2K:0BB. Lots of baserunners to report, including a 4x5, 3RBI day from Mike Kvasnicka. Jiovanni Mier and Chris Wallace were 1x3, with 2BB each. Roberto Pena and Jhonny Medrano were the only Legends to not get on base, as the Legends got ten hits and drew eight walks in the win.

Gustavo Chacin followed that up with 1.1IP, 2H/1ER, WP, Balk. Casey Fien threw a perfect inning before Sergio Escalona allowed 3H/3ER, 0K:2BB. J.B.
