PreStros: May 12


Oklahoma City (19-17) 

The bullpen nearly squandered the six run lead Paul Clemens turned over to them, but the RedHawks were able to hold on against Tucson (SD) 6-5.

Paul Clemens turned in 7 shutout innings, allowing just 3 H with 6 K. Mickey Storey gave up 3 R in .2 innings on 3 H. Enerio Del Rosario allowed 2 R in .1 innings on 3 H with 1 K. Jose Valdez shut the door on the Padres with 1 perfect inning with 1 K.

RF-Fernando Martinez was 2x4 with 1 R and 1 RBI. 1B-Mike Hessman went 2x4 with 1 HR and 2 R. 2B-Jimmy Paredes was 2x4 with 2 RBI. C-Landon Powell went 2x4.

Corpus Christi (14-21) 

Corpus lost a tough one in 12 innings, falling 2-1 to Frisco (TEX).

Jake Buchanan got an impressive 16 groundouts in 7.2 innings while allowing 1 R on 6 H and 2 BB with 1 K. Wes Musick walked the only two batters he faced. Josh Zeid, Kevin Chapman, and Jason Stoffel all pitched one scoreless inning. Alex Sogard took the loss with 1 R allowed in 1 inning on 2 H and 1 BB with 1 K.

SS-Jonathan Villar was 1x3 with 1 RBI. CF-Brandon Barnes went 1x5 with 1 2B. C-Jair Fernandez was 1x2 with 1 BB and 1 2B.

Lancaster (17-19) 

A walkoff Grand Slam by Domingo Santana gave the JetHawks an exciting 8-4 victory over Lake Elsinore (SD).

Jorge De Leon went the first 3 innings, allowing 3 H and 1 BB with 3 K. Zach Grimmett went the next 3, giving up 2 R on 6 H and 1 BB. Brian Streilein threw 1.1 innings and was charged with 2 R on 2 H with 1 K. Kirk Clark went the final 1.2 innings allowing 1 H.

SS-Ben Orloff went 2x4 with 1 BB and 2 R. RF-Domingo Santana was 1x5 with 1 HR and 5 RBI. 1B-Erik Castro was 3x4 with 2 2B and 2 RBI. 2B/LF-Kike Hernandez was 2x4. C-Rene Garcia went 2x4 with 2 2B and 1 R.

Lexington (17-18) 

The Legends pitching staff couldn’t find anyone to chill the Suns’ offense as they lost 7-5 to Hagerstown (WSH)

Luis Ordosgoitti threw 4 innings and gave up 3 R on 6 H and 1 BB with 6 K. Evan Grills went the next 3.1 innings and allowed 2 R on 3 H and 2 BB with 3 K. Jason Chowning had his first rough outing of the season, going 1.2 innings and giving up 2 R on 2 H (both solo HR) with 2 K.

1B-Zach Johnson was 1x4 with 2 RBI. DH-Mike Kvasnicka went 1x3 with 1 BB and 1 HR. SS-Chan Moon was 2x4 with 1 R and 1 RBI.
