Two Astros "available"

Jerry Crasnick tweeted a couple of nuggets fairly close together indicating that there are players on the Astros' 40-Man roster who may have been made available:

Carter is pretty much a DH-only option (with A.J. Reed waiting in the wings). Marisnick is one outfielder on a team with of a lot of outfielders. Neither of these names are terribly surprising, but it's notable...

I think outside of Springer, Correa, Altuve, Keuchel, and McCullers, everyone else is 'available'.

I would McHugh to that list. 19-game winners don't grow on trees.

I agree. McHugh rarely gets the credit he deserves. In fact that's why we picked him up off the waivers.

Not Handsome Jake! That'll be a bummer. I'm really pulling for him.

I think McHugh should be 'available' in the same sense that Marisnick is. The Astros have a bunch of players with some value, that they should be looking to package for individuals with lots of value. McHugh should be on that list. His 2015 numbers look way too close to 2012 Lucas Harrell for me to think of him as 'untouchable'.
