Saturday Morning Hot Links

Brady Rodgers and the Astros got straight up bombed by the Mets yesterday, 11-3. Rodgers gave up 8H/6ER in 2IP. Ashur Tolliver allowed 4H/3ER. Charlie Morton threw 2IP and allowed a hit and a walk, and Michael Feliz retired all four batters he faced. Jake Marisnick went 3x3 with a homer, Tony Kemp went 2x2, Carlos Correa was 0x1 with two walks.

*Rodgers:
It was a rough one. I didn't really have command of anything. It felt like if I was missing my spot it was either way off the plate or right down the middle. It's just one of those days.

*Charlie Morton's sinker was humming in at 94-96mph yesterday. Morton has the Astros' faith because of his data, and Morton appreciates the Astros' approach.

*Carlos Correa talked about the adjustments he made to his swing.

*Jake Marisnick's retooled swing paid off...at least for yesterday.

*Will Harris (groin discomfort) was back throwing BP yesterday.

*Tyson Perez, coming off of Tommy John surgery in 2016, was given a non-roster invite to Spring Training as a reward.

*Pat Neshek thinks Twins great Jason Castro will have a big year.

*Jon Heyman is not a fan of the Astros renewing Correa at league minimum.
