Astros busy on Cosart

Ken Rosenthal is tweeting (https://twitter.com/ken_rosenthal/status/494858515308367872) that the Astros have been "very very busy" with calls regarding Jarred Cosart, but have taken Dallas Keuchel off the market.

Update: The Orioles are NOT in on Cosart (Rosenthal), but Rangers and Marlins are.

Update: Cosart is scheduled to pitch tonight, and word from JJO is that nobody has been flown from OKC to Houston, in case he is traded.

Why are they looking to trade Cosart? I realize they don't have many trade able assets, but shouldn't he be under team control for a while longer?

I know they're looking for a bat, so if they do trade Cosart, which position do you expect them to target?

I read that to mean that they are receiving calls about Cosart, and aren't opposed to moving him for the right deal. Not that they are actively trying to trading him.

They are probably looking to dump Cozart because of his mouth. I suspect he was one of the "anonymous" sources in the Appel ruckus last week. Since he's under team control for several years I would hope they'd get a nice return. Maybe yet another outfielder to fill the black hole in left? Seems like everyone we stick out there immediately forgets how to swing a bat!

OKC is actually in Round Rock tonight not OKC Royal Worm

I agree with joeinalaska... Cosart's mouth is going to get him in trouble... he needs to grow up when he's on social media.. maybe the organization sees this a cancer...

You are correct! His mouth his partying having a former astros employee in his apartment and only lasting 5 innings....well let's just say his name was considered for trade back in the late spring
