Fields down, Zeid up

Josh Fields has been optioned to Oklahoma City, and Josh Zeid has been recalled from OKC to take his bullpen spot.

Fields' struggles for the past two weeks are well-documented.  Since April 23 Fields has pitched in five games. He has faced 26 batters and retired just nine of them. In those 3IP, he has allowed 14H/14ER, 4K:3BB with a .765 BABIP, 16.7% HR/FB rate, 42.00 ERA to go alongside an 8.78 FIP and 7.01 xFIP. In other words, this is an overdue visit to a farm in Connecticut.

Zeid, meanwhile, is racking it up at OKC. In his last six outings (5.2IP) he has allowed 1H/0ER, 8K:0BB and has a 2.19 ERA/0.97 WHIP on the season.
