Pleskoff on Japhet Amador

Japhet Amador is my Spirit Animal. I love the very idea of a 6'4" 315lb first baseman. But what does he look like from a scouting perspective? Former Astros and Mariners scout Bernie Pleskoff has your answer.

I have nothing to add to this because (a) I'm not a scout and (b) have never pretended to be a scout. Hell, one of my goals for the 2014 season is to Not Automatically Hate Any Player Not On The Astros. So I'll be happy to just take Pleskoff's word for it here.

Interesting article.....does not doubt Amador's power potential but I have heard other reports that doubt that his huge size will translate into huge power...Would be interesting if he had a big spring, but since he played in both the AFL and MWLhe might come in a little fatigued...

Other interesting thing about this article was that a Brett Wallace debate broke out in the comments....some still think he'll make it, other see a bust....
