Lexington (8-10)

OFF

Off Day Spotlight

Tanner Bushue
Born:                June 20, 1991
Bats/Throws:   R/R
Height/Weight: 6’4”/180lbs
Acquired:     Drafted by Houston Astros, 2009 (2nd Round)
Position:          SP

Tanner started his professional career well but may have hit a wall, as this is his third season now with Lexington. Tanner was one of the Astros top 10 prospects heading in to 2011. He throws four pitches as a starter, including a fastball that hits 93 mph and a curve ball that has potential to be a plus pitch. His homerun allowed rate has increased each of the last three seasons and he’s been letting too many runners on to get away with it. He’s still young though (he’ll turn 21 in June) so there’s plenty of time for him to get back on track.
