PreStros: April 22


Oklahoma City (12-6) 

Ross Seaton was roughed up in his AAA debut in what turned out to be a marathon of a game. OKC ultimately fell 11-10 in 14 innings.

Seaton went 4.2 innings and gave up 6 R (5 earned) on 7 H and 2 BB with 1 K. Mickey Storey threw 2.1 scoreless innings with 3 H and 3 K. Xavier Cedeno pitched 1 inning, allowing 4 R, all unearned, 3 H, and 1 BB. Fernando Abad threw 3 scoreless innings and gave up 3 H and 2 BB with 4 K. Jose Valdez gave 2 innings with 1 H, 2 BB, and 3 K. Sergio Perez took the loss with 1 IP giving up 1 R on 2 H with 1 K.

SS-Angel Sanchez went 2x6 with 1 RBI. 3B-Brian Bixler was 4x7 with 1 BB, 1 R, and 1 RBI. 2B-Jimmy Paredes was 4x7 with 3 2B, 3 R, and 1 RBI. C-Carlos Corporan went 1x4 with 1 HR, 2 R, and 3 RBI.

Corpus Christi (8-8) 

Corpus jumped out to a five run lead and held off a late charge to win 5-3.

Jarred Cosart returned from his blister issues to pitch 5 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits with 4 K to earn his first victory of the season. Adelberto Flores made things interesting in his 2.2 innings by giving up 3 R on 4 H with 2 K. Kevin Chapman had in interesting line, as he faced two batters with 1 BB and 1 K, but was credited with 0 IP when his strikeout victim reached base when the third strike got away from the catcher. Jason Stoffel got the save with 1.1 perfect innings with 1 K.

1B-Jonathan Singleton was 1x4 with 1 R and 2 RBI. CF-Brandon Barnes went 2x3 with 2 2B, 1 R, and 1 RBI but was twice caught stealing. 3B-Andrew Simunic went 3x3 with 1 R.

Man of the Match: Jarred Cosart

Lancaster (5-12) 

Lancaster took a 4 run lead into the bottom of the eight inning but couldn’t hold on, ultimately losing 5-4.

Ruben Alaniz had another good outing, throwing 7.1 innings while allowing 3 R on 7 H and 1 BB with 3 K. Pat Urckfitz allowed 1 R in .2 IP on 1 H and 2 K. Jorge De Leon also allowed 1 R on .2 IP on 2 H.

SS-Ben Orloff was 3x4 with 1 BB and 1 R. CF-George Springer went 2x5 with 2 SB. LF-Adam Bailey was 2x4 with 1 2B and 1 RBI. C-Ben Heath was 2x4 with a solo HR and 1 runner caught stealing.

Lexington (8-10) 

Lexington’s offense led the way to an 11-6 victory Sunday. Though the Legends knocked out 14 hits, not a single one went for extra bases.

Luis Cruz turned in 5 IP while allowing 6 R on 10 H and 1 BB with 3 K. Dayan Diaz threw 3 scoreless innings with 2 K. Diaz hasn’t allowed a run in 13.1 innings so far this season.

LF-Jordan Scott was 1x4 with 2 BB, 1 R, and 2 RBI. 2B-Alex Todd went 2x5 with 1 RBI. 3B-Matt Duffy was 3x6 with 1 R. DH-Mike Kvasnicka went 2x5 with 2 R. CF-Drew Muren went 3x4 with 2 R. RF-Emilio King was 2x4 with 1 BB, 3 R, and 1 RBI. SS-James Howick was 1x2 with 3 BB, 1 R, and 3 RBI.
