Oklahoma City (10-15)

The RedHawks are now 1-0 when hitting a 1st inning grand slam. RedHawks win 12-4. Henry Villar threw 5IP, 5H/4ER, 4K:4BB, while Wesley Wright struck out three, walking one, and allowing 2H/0ER in 3IP. Andy Van Hekken allowed a hit in the 9th.

Collin DeLome provided said grand slam, getting another hit and a walk. Tommy Manzella (2B, BB) had your other two-hit game. RBIs were provided by Brandon Barnes (2B, BB), Oswaldo Navarro (3BB), Carlos Corporan (2-run double), and Anderson Hernandez (BB), who also stole home.

Man of the Match: Collin DeLome

Corpus (11-14)

Corpus jumped out to a 6-0 lead on Midland, and rode it out for a 7-1 win. Kyle Greenwalt threw a strong 6IP, 5H/1ER, 8K:3BB. Danny Meszaros continues his scoreless streak with another 2IP, and that streak is now at 5IP. He allowed his first hit of the season, as well. David Carpenter threw a perfect 9th.

Jimmy Paredes (2B, SB) and Jimmy Van Ostrand (1B, 3B, HR, 2RBI) had three hits each. Brandon Wikoff was 2x4 with 2RBI and a walk, and Andy Simunic was 1x2 with 2BB. J.D. Martinez was the only Hook to not record a hit.

Lancaster (12-14)

That's what you call a bullpen meltdown. Lancaster and Rancho Cucamonga were tied 2-2 heading into the 8th after the JetHawks scored two in the bottom of the 7th. Then the Quakes scored the next six runs, including five in the 9th, for an 8-2 win. Jose Cisnero threw 7IP, 3H/2ER, 13K:3BB - yes, 13K. Mike Ness allowed 4H/4ER, with 0K:1BB in 1.1IP. Kirk Clark gave up two unearned runs, including two runs charged to Ness, allowing 3H in 0.2IP.

Jose Altuve was 2x4 with a double, and Jay Austin (2BB), Austin Wates (BB), Jake Goebbert, and Jonathan Meyer (2B, 2RBI) had the other hits.

Man of the Match: Jose Cisnero

Lexington (15-11)

Game 1: Play resumed with the Legends up 4-0 in the 2nd, and the Legends picked up where they left off, pummeling Augusta for a 15-2 win. Brad Dydalewicz was pitching well in his 2IP, but Carlos Quevedo finished the game with 7IP, 6H/2ER, 5K:0BB. Chris Wallace was 3x5 with a double and an RBI. Delino DeShields was 2x6 with a solo homer, Mike Kvasnicka was 2x4 with a walk and an RBI, and Dan Adamson was 2x4 with a double, walk, and 3RBI. Adam Bailey also hit a three-run homer, and Tyler Burnett hit a two-run homer.

Man of the Match: Dan Adamson

Game 2: Augusta scored four in the top of the first, but Lexington answered with five runs in the bottom half, and won, 8-4, to complete the sweep. Ruben Alaniz allowed 3H/4R (1ER), 4K:2BB; Yordany Ramirez walked three batters, and only got two out, and Alex Sogard did the grunt work, striking out six in 3.1IP. Jhonny Medrano was 2x4 with 2RBI, Delino DeShields was 2x3 with a triple and a walk. Ben Orloff was 1x2 with 2BB and an RBI. Roberto Pena had a two-run single.
