Monday Morning Hot Links

I have a Google News search saved. I have the major (and minor) Houston sports personalities in a list on Twitter. There's MLB Trade Rumors, FanGraphs, and other sites I check every morning for Hot Links. Every now and then - usually around this time of year - nothing comes up for the Astros. Nothing to report. One of those mornings is today. There is no Astros news.

WAIT. Except for this, from five days ago, SI says the Astros should spend the rest of the offseason handing out extensions.

So here are some other items in which you might be interested...

*Amid the backdrop of the devastation left by Hurricane Maria, the Puerto Rican Winter League opened play this weekend.

*The Rangers and the Nippon Ham Fighters signed a working agreement. (Note: the team name is the "Fighters." They do not fight ham. Nippon Ham is a food processing company that sponsors the Fighters.)
