Tuesday Morning Hot Links

*Read the Masked Marvel's Shocking Recap of the win over the Cleveland Klubers last night. The Astros knocked Kluber Lang out in the 3rd inning on their way to a 7-1 win.

*Around the ALW: A's lost, Rangers lost, Mariners won, Angels were off. The Astros are 1.0 behind Oakland and Anaheim, 5.0 behind Arlington, and 6.5 behind Seattle.

*The Astros followed Hinch's gameplan exactly to the point.

*Fiers:
It's good to get on a roll. Just build off of each start and just win games, really, as a team. I was able to keep them to one run. The bullpen came in, we made some great defensive plays to keep me in that game longer. I feel good. It feels better to get into midseason form and kind of put April behind us.

*The Astros also won consecutive games without hitting a home run for the first time since September 2014.

*Here's a read on the friendship of Correa and Francisco Lindor.

*Lance McCullers will throw a bullpen session today and, if all goes well, could rejoin the rotation for either the Friday or Saturday start at Fenway Park. Friday would be McHugh's normal spot, Saturday would be Fiers'.

*Fresno's Asher Wojciechowski is dealing with biceps soreness, so it seems as though that's the opportunity that Joe Musgrove and his 0.34 ERA need to make it to Fresno, possibly in time for his next start. It's noted that the Astros are managing Musgrave's workload so that he can contribute in Houston later in the year.

*From the above link, Daz Cameron has been sent back to Kissimmee after hitting .143 in 21 games for Quad Cities.

*I still don't know exactly how this happened:
*Mark Appel would like to offer advice to whomever the Phillies pick with the 1-1 next month.
Looking back, it's one of those things that it's a blessing and a curse...Whoever the Phillies take first overall, hopefully I'll be able to meet him and share some of the things that I struggled with and failed at to make him a better player and hopefully see him realize the potential that he has.

*After Garrett Richards' Tommy John surgery and Andrelton Simmons going down with a thumb injury yesterday, the Angels are trying not to trade Mike Trout.

*From the NY Times: What makes Texas Texas.

*From the Toronto Star: Dan Shulman is The Man.

*From Vice Sports: Reggie Jackson's lost season in Baltimore.
