PreStros Morning Report: April 27

TL;DR

*Org affiliates go 1-1 on the day; cumulative 46-25 record
*Preston Tucker went off, again, hitting his 8th homer of the season in a 4-2 win over Reno behind a good start from Jake Buchanan.
*Midland bit Corpus for two runs in the bottom of the 9th for a 9-8 walkoff win. Colin Moran had three hits (two doubles) while Carlos Correa added a single, triple, walk, and 2RBI.
*Lancaster and Quad Cities were both off.

Fresno (11-7)

Fresno never trailed in this one, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st and breaking a brief 1-1 tie with two in the 4th on their way to a 4-2 win over Reno. Jake Buchanan threw 5IP, 9H/2ER, 2K:0BB for the win; Darin Downs threw 1.2IP with 0H/0ER, 2K:0BB, HBP; Jordan Jankowski allowed a hit and a walk in 0.2IP, and Kevin Chapman got his first save of the year with 1.2IP, 2K:1BB.

Preston Tucker is just insane right now. He went 3x4 with another homer - his 8th of the season - and 2RBI total. He's now hitting .338/.380/.689 with 13K:5BB in 74 ABs. Jon Singleton was 0x2 with 2BB, Jonathan Villar, Alex Presley (Outfield Assist), Andrew Aplin, and Max Stassi (RBI) added hits.

Corpus (12-5)

Corpus carried an 8-7 lead into the bottom of the 9th, but Midland hit a game-tying homer and then got the walkoff to send Corpus to a 9-8 loss. Aaron West had a rare rough start, allowing 7H/5ER, 3K:0BB, 3HR; Kent Emanuel gave up 6H/4R (2ER), 1K:2BB in 3IP, and Mitch Lambson allowed a hit and a walk in 0.2IP in the 9th.

Colin Moran was 3x5 with two doubles and an RBI; Carlos Correa was 2x4 with a triple, walk, and 2RBI; Tyler White (BB, 2RBI) and Telvin Nash (BB) added two hits each. Tony Kemp was 1x3 with two walks, an RBI, and three runs scored.
