The date is June 6, 2014. The Astros have drafted Brady Aiken with the 1st overall pick of the 2014 draft.

To act as Astros GM Jeff Luhnow, turn to Page 13.

To act as Brady Aiken's "family adviser" Casey Close, turn to Page 24

To act as 5th Round pick Jacob Nix, turn to Page 187.

Never posted on here but I had to because this is fantastic work. Best of luck to Aiken, can't help but feel for the kid. Now has to pitch his way into the majors with the knowledge that his ligament is paper thin. But for the stros, AJ Reed will the guy we'll be talking about from this draft class in a few years.

The Lunhow bashing is getting old already. How did he operate in bad faith by pulling an offer after a medical exam? If he had known of the issue ahead of time, would he have flown the family in to sign? Would the Astros have started printing jerseys? Close is equally at fault in this debacle. When one side gets emotional in a negotiation and digs heels in, this is what happens.
