Fowler out indefinitely with gastroenteritis

CF Dexter Fowler was hospitalized over the weekend with gastroenteritis, and is home resting "indefinitely." Bo Porter:

We don't know how much longer it's going to be, we just know that the doctors are treating him.

Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines resulting in vomiting and The Diarrhea. The CDC says that symptoms can last from one to ten days, depending on the strain of virus, and the biggest risk is dehydration. Thing is, it's contagious, though Porter said Sunday that there was not a risk of other members of the team getting it. Seems as though you get it from either someone who already has it, from improperly washing your hands after going potty, or eating sketchy shellfish.

The Astros will fly to Toronto following today's finale with the Angels, and then head to Arlington over the weekend.
