Austin Wates apparently headed to Oklahoma City

After Corpus' game last night, Austin Wates' mom tweeted that he was heading to Oklahoma City.

My Man Crush on Austin Wates has been no secret. He missed some time at the end of April with a hamstring injury, but in 23 games for Corpus, Wates is hitting .310/.423/.448 - second on the team in OPS behind George Springer's ridiculous 1.018 OPS - with 18K:14BB.

Away from Whataburger Field, Wates is hitting .342/.432/.553. The fact that it's Wates, who will be 25 in September, going up shows me that the Astros are being patient with Springer so he gets more ABs, and maybe to get those strikeouts under control.
