Fans at Fluor Field were treated to an
exciting game that was close the entire nine innings. Delino DeShields’ solo
home run in the eighth inning and Jason Chowning’s slider combined to put the
game away, as the Legends took the series with a 6-5 victory.
Jonas Dufek went 5.1 innings, giving up 5
R (4 earned) on 7 H and 3 BB with 3 K. Evan Grills battled through 1.2 innings,
but held the Drive scoreless with 2 H and 1 BB. Jason Chowning slammed the door
with 2 perfect innings and 4 K. The Drive had no chance against Chowning’s
slider last night.
