Whoa, J.D. Martinez's parents did something that was not cool

In an interview with Brian McTaggart, J.D. Martinez talks about growing up a huge Marlins fan in Miami. So much so that he went to the World Series in 1997, and got all excited when the Marlins went again in 2003. Except he had a school project.

Martinez:
"They said, 'You've got to finish your project. It's worth 50 percent of the grade.' I had to stay home and watch it, and they went and left me. I would sit there in front of the TV and yell and go crazy and do my project at the same time."
