Texas League president flexes nuts

In Greg Rajan's recap of last night's Hooks game, we get a note about a request denied.

See, what with the Astros moving to the AL West next season, Jeff Luhnow asked that the Hooks be exempt from pitchers having to hit against NL affiliates this season. Texas League president Tom Kayser denied that request, after consulting with the three other NL-affiliate teams.

Kayser:
"They were not enthused. It answered itself. I understood why Houston asked, but I also understood why the other NL clubs weren't enthusiastic about losing opportunities for their pitchers to hit."

Somehow I'll find a way to connect it to Bud Selig...
