Jon Gaston is quite excited about the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks

The Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks are an independent baseball team. They play in the American Association of Independent Baseball Teams whose season starts on May 17 at El Paso. They're also former Astro prospect Jon Gaston's new favorite team, having apparently signed with them today.

Gaston:
Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks here I come! First time i've been really excited to start playing baseball in a few years. #newbeginnings

Fargo-Moorhead is managed by Doug Simunic, who is not the father of Andy Simunic, who plays for Corpus Christi. No, Doug Simunic got into an on-field fight with the opposing team's manager in 2009.

I guess Corpus Christi and the Astros organization can't hold a candle to Fargo-Moorhead. :-(
