The Astros avoided arbitration with J.A. Happ today, agreeing on a $2.35m deal for 2012, a nice little increase over the $474,000 he made in 2011.
According to FanGraphs, Happ had a 0.3 WAR in 2011, valuing him at $1.3m.
Jed Lowrie is the only other arbitration case the Astros need to take care of.

Really? A 1.876 million dollar raise for the performance he turned in last year? He'd better improve and continue the little stretch he had after his demotion and call up
