CBS New York has some pretty compelling evidence that 5th Round pick Nick Tropeano will sign:
The Astros are flying him out Sunday to start training.

There's one rumor saying he's already signed and is headed to Tri-City, coming from (oddly enough) a basketball forum.

Googling that language also brings up a few hits to sbradiosports.blogspot.com, where it seems to have originated, but it's apparently been deleted from there.
