Guesses on who, if any, the Astros will move to protect?
I'm guessing they'll protect Locke and Clemens for sure - probably Cartwright - and we'll assign a "maybe" to DeLome.
Full disclosure, though: I really have no idea.
I definitely think they'll protect Clemens, and yeah, probably Cartwright. They are young enough and are "real" prospects (the right age, with solid performance track records).
I doubt they will actually protect Locke--he was good this year, but not great, and he'll be in his age 28 season, not an attractive candidate for teams looking to make a rule 5 steal. I view DeLome as actually more likely to be protected, because he's still young, although I doubt he will be either.
