Phillies still trying, say baseball sources

CSN Philly's Jim Salisbury is reporting that the Phillies are still trying to deal for Roy, despite Roy's status as head cheerleader spurning their advances like the Phillies are the president of the chess club.

One Baseball Official:
“They’re trying. But there are a lot of moving parts. There’s a lot of work to do.”

Baseball sources, and anyone with a quarter of a frontal lobe, say that Roy's stance could soften as we near the 3:00 Central trading deadline.

A Person Close To The Situation:
“He definitely wants to get traded. But the Astros are not going to do it unless it helps them.”

On the Phillies' Source side, we read that "the money is still a hangup."
