JJO's interview with Tejada

JJO posted an interview with Miguel Tejada. Some excerpts:

On the future:
"One thing that I always say is this team has been supporting me. What this organization (did) for me, I don't think I don't have anything that I can pay them for everything that they do. The fans and all the support from the players, I think the last thing I have to say is that I don't want to leave from here. I love this town, and Drayton McLane has been great for me. I think I've never been in an organization that gives me more support than they gave me. That's something that I appreciate and I'm never going to forget. If it were up for me, I'm going to stay here the rest of my career. I love it here and what they do for me it's not for me to leave. I don't want to leave this organization before I take it to a championship."

On age, leading the league in batting, and work ethic:
"That makes me work hard. I always work harder. Now I'm older than last year. Every day we're getting older. That's why I work harder and harder. Right now I have a different program lifting weights."

Can I make the obvious joke that, technically, Tejada is three years older than he was last year?
