The Astros won in convincing fashion last night, laying the smackdown to the tune of a 9-1 victory. Mike Hampton had a very solid outing, and let's hope our Ace can keep it going tonight. The chuckers:

Paul Maholm, LHP - Pittsburgh Pirates
3-2 / 3.82 ERA / 1.35 WHIP
68.1 IP / 38 K / 23 BB
Quite similar statistics for these two pitchers. Roy is much more of a strikeout pitcher though, where Maholm relies more on pitching to contact and relying on his defense. Both guys have had their own mix of brilliant and pretty awful starts this year. Let's hope Roy can work deep into the game to keep on conserving that bullpen.
