Matchup for G46 - Astros @ Pirates

The Astros come in to this game reeling a little bit (to put it nicely). They're 9-20 vs NL Central teams, 2-8 in their last ten games, and have lost seven straight games. Who's here to stop it? How about Brian Moehler? The Astros were at Pittsburgh from April 13-16, and went 2-1.

Moehler

Moehler had done pretty well in three starts since returning from the DL, but then it all exploded for him against the Rangers on May 23 - allowing six extra-base hits to 22 batters. The last time Moehler faced the Pirates was the first game of the Pirates series, and the last game before going on the DL, allowing 5ER in 2.1IP.

Ross Ohlendorf

Ohlendorf has had a pretty decent season so far, and is coming off his longest outing of 2009. 5-4 with a 4.20 ERA, Ohlendorf has a decision in all nine of his starts. Ohlendorf pitched against the Astros on April 15, but had the misfortune of running into Hampton's One Great Start of 2009, losing 4-1 in a five inning effort. We'll get to that in a minute.
