Frisco struck first in the series opener, taking an early 1-0 lead, but Corpus got one in the 4th and two in the 5th and held on to a 3-2 win. Luis Cruz threw 5IP, 2H/1R (0ER), 3K:0BB; Brady Rodgers gave up 2H/1ER, 3K:1BB in 3.2IP, and Tyson Perez recorded the final out of the game (Perez has allowed 13H/2R (1ER) in 22IP for Corpus this season.
Corpus scattered six hits via Delino DeShields (2BB, 2SB), Tony Kemp, Andrew Aplin (RBI), Rene Garcia, and MP Cokinos (2B, RBI).

Lancaster (12-15, 6.0GB; 56-41 overall - already clinched playoff berth)
Crazy game in Lancaster. The JetHawks were up 3-0, then down 6-3, then tied 6-6, then down 12-6, and that was pretty much it. Visalia and Lancaster combined for 23 runs, 25 hits, and five errors as Lancaster falls 14-9. Lance McCullers allowed 2H/2ER, 6K:3BB in 3.2IP; Zach Morton gave up 4H/7R (6ER), 1K:3BB in 2.2IP and Juan Minaya allowed 7H/5ER, 2K:0BB (and two of Morton's runs) in 2.2IP.
Conrad Gregor had him a day, going 4x5 with a triple, two homers, and 5RBI. Rio Ruiz, Tyler White (BB), and Roberto Pena (2B, RBI) had two hits each; Tanner Mathis hit a 3-run homer and drew a walk.

Oklahoma City (38-33, 2GB)
OKC built up an 11-1 lead and were able to withstand a late Las Vegas charge to carry a 13-9 win in which Las Vegas hitters only managed eight hits (three fielding errors - two by NewHawk Preston Tucker). Jake Buchanan threw 7IP, allowing 5H/5R (4ER), 4K:1BB. Ross Seaton allowed 3H/4R (1ER), 1K:2BB in 0.2IP and Andrew Robinson got his first save at OKC with four perfect outs.
L.J. Hoes was 3x4 with a double and an RBI; Austin Wates (3B, BB, SB), Enrique Hernandez (HR, 3RBI), and Marc Krauss (2B, 3RBI) had two hits each. Gregorio Petit added a three-run homer. Domingo Santana was 1x3 with a double, two walks, and four runs scored. Preston Tucker was 1x4 with a walk.

PreStros: May 23
Postponed. Will be made up as part of a doubleheader today
*Notes: Brett Wallace has a six game hitting streak. He’s hit
three home runs in his last four games, all to center field. Jordan Lyles is
tied for most batters hit this season (6) in the Pacific Coast League.
Jake Buchanan pitched a gem for eight innings and came two outs away from a complete game as he led the Hooks to a 9-5 victory over Arkansas (LAA).
Buchanan went 8.1 innings and was charged with 5 R (3 earned) on 8
H and 1 BB with 4 K. Josh Zeid was wild in relief, but got the final two outs
on strikeouts, along with 1 BB and 2 WP.
LF-Austin Wates was 2x4 with 1 2B and 2 R. SS-Jonathan Villar was
1x4 with 1 HR, 2 R, and 2 RBI. 1B-Jon Singleton was 2x4 with 1 2B, 2 R, and 1

2010 Overview
What happened?
Ordosgoitti is one to keep an eye on, even after only five starts in the GCL. Signed as an international free agent back in 2009, Ordosgoitti went straight to the GCL, skipping the DSL (probably because he's from Venezeula, anyway). Ordosgoitti was 0-1 on the year.
What went right?
We kind of hate doing these due to the sample size, but it at least puts him in the archive. However, home games were a major positive, and it's where he made four of his five starts, compiling a 2.29 ERA on 27H/7ER, 15K:4BB.
His first two starts. In 9.2IP to begin his pro career, Ordosgoitti allowed 12H/1ER, with 8K:2BB.
What went wrong?
Bases empty. Ordosgoitti's WHIP with runners on: 1.38. WHIP with the bases empty: 1.64. Four of his five walks and his one homer came with the bases empty. Obviously, it's much more preferable to do this with the bases empty than with runners on.
He didn't pitch after July 18 - and we can't find why. If it was on purpose, and they're easing him in, that's fine. It doesn't look like he was injured.
Ordosgoitti will be 18 when the season ends next year (Late September birthday), so Greeneville is a likely destination for him in 2011.
