Houston Astros 2017 national broadcast schedule

I am not renewing my MLB.TV subscription this year. The last couple of years, I've noticed that I am watching the games less and less. I know that's hard to believe after spending so much time watching the team struggle to even get 60 wins.

Usually, I'll have the game on the background while I work or play video games. I'll stop and watch key moments, but for the most part the games are just background noise. I am also reducing how much time I spend on social media. Astros Twitter is great, but being a few minutes behind on MLB.TV is not great. At certain times I had to turn away from Twitter to avoid spoilers.

I still plan to watch the team. I'm going to watch when the Astros are the free game of the day on MLB.TV and when they're on a national broadcast. I've tracked down the national broadcast schedule. I thought it's a useful bit of information for others who are in similar situation.

The full list

This is great. I would buy MLB.tv if I could watch Astros games here in Dallas, but alas... We will surely get more games WHEN we are in contention late in the season.

I couldn't be headed in a more opposite direction. I watch more baseball now than I ever have. Especially the Astros, who, oddly enough, I am watching play the Yankees -- in Spring Training. I love baseball and the Astros..

This would be a good year to put down the video games and watch the Astros a lot bud. We have struggled through some pain as a team and this one will be special I believe.

In a few years when we return to the down cycle, then you may wish to watch less.

As we are in Galveston, we watch every game on Root. We also have a 28 game weekend season ticket package. We have rarely missed a game the last 2 years, and will especially be watching this year- this could be The Year!
