PreStros Morning Report: July 20

Fresno (56-40, 11.0 games up)

Fresno took a 7-1 lead by the end of the 3rd inning, cruised to a 9-2 victory over Las Vegas

Corpus (60-34, clinched playoff berth)

Corpus held early leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but Midland's seven unanswered runs proved too much in a 9-5 loss. Joe Musgrave returned from a 3-week DL stint to provide 2IP to start the game.

Lancaster and San Jose battled to a 4-4 tie at the end of nine, with San Jose getting the walk-off in the 11th to win 5-4.

Quad Cities (60-33, already clinched playoff berth)

Quad Cities had an 11-0 lead before Cedar Rapids got on the board, and went on to win 14-5.

Tri-City split a double-header with Aberdeen, winning Game 1, 7-2, and dropping Game 2, 3-1.

Postponed due to rain

GCL Astros (8-16, 4,5 games back)

The GCL Astros carried a 2-0 lead into the 9th, but the GCL Blue Jays scored three in the top of the 9th for a 3-2 win over the GCL Astros.

2. Kyle Tucker: 2x4
1. Hector Perez: 4IP, 1H/0ER, 2K:2BB

Note: Nestor Tejada was 1x28 coming into yesterday's game, breaking an 0x26 skid dating back to his professional debut. Kyle Tucker has hits in five of his last six games.
