Astros sign Kyle Tucker

The Astros have signed 1-5 pick Kyle Tucker for $4m, according to MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo. The slot value for the 5th overall pick was $4,188,700, so there's a little bit more savings to add in order to sign Daz Cameron.

Check the Draft Page to see other important numbers and whatnot.

Sure hope they can scrape enough together to sign Daz Cameron as well. I guess we'll have to wait until after the college WS to see how all this shakes out.

The Astros have clearly gone cheap in rounds 4-10: much of the money to sign Cameron would come from there, plus a million or so from Bregman's stash. The FO will know what Bregman's demands are likely to be, too, plus I doubt Daz Cameron has any desire to head to school.

If every other pick signs at slot value, the Astros have roughly $10.5 MM to split between Bregman and Cameron. They're actually going to pull this off.

Would love for Bregman to sign low enough for us to throw a truck load of money at Baker!
