PreStros Morning Report: April 28

TL;DR

*Org gets swept, goes 0-4; cumulative 46-29 record
*Matt Dominguez goes 2x3 with a walk and Richard Rodriguez threw three perfect innings in relief in a 3-2 Fresno loss.
*Carlos Correa was 2x2 with a homer, double, stolen base, and two walks in an 8-4 Corpus loss
*Chan Moon had a single, triple, walk, and 3RBI in a 10-5 Lancaster loss.
*Quad Cities was defeated 1-0 in 11 innings despite holding Cedar Rapids to six hits.

Fresno (11-8)

Reno had a 3-0 lead after four innings, and the Grizzlies got two back in the 5th, but just couldn't get that tying run over in a 3-2 loss. Handsome Dan Straily threw 5IP, 6H/3ER, 3K:2BB; Richard Rodriguez threw three perfect innings in relief with 2K; James Hoyt threw a perfect 9th, striking out two.

Matt Dominguez was 2x3 with a walk; Domingo Santana was 1x4 with a triple and an RBI; Ronny Torreyes was 1x4 with a double; Nolan Fontana was 1x4 with a double and a walk. Alex Presley (SB), Jon Singleton, and Andrew Aplin each drew two walks, and the Grizzlies were 1x13 w/RISP.

Man of the Match: Richard Rodriguez

Corpus (12-6)

Corpus took a 1-0 lead in the first, but Midland scored seven before Corpus got their next one - Midland defeated Corpus, 8-4. Kyle Westwood threw 4.1IP, 10H/4ER, 0K:2BB; Jonas Dufek allowed 2H/3ER, 2K;3BB in 2.1IP, and Angel Baez allowed 1H/1ER, 0K:2BB in 1.1IP.

Carlos Correa was 2x2 with his 5th homer of the season, a double, two walks, and a stolen base. He's now hitting .400/.468/.800 with 15K:8BB and is a grown-ass man. Tyler Heineman also had two hits on the night; Tony Kemp, Conrad Gregor (RBI), Telvin Nash (2B, RBI), and Teoscar Hernandez (RBI) added hits.

Man of the Match: Carlos Correa

Lancaster (10-9)

Well. Rancho Cucamonga got out to a 9-1 lead by the end of the 6th, and withstood a brief Lancaster rally to win 10-5. Evan Grills allowed 4H/3R (2ER), 3K:2BB in 4IP; Tyler Brunnemann allowed a hit and a walk in 1IP with 2K; Troy Scribner had a rare bad outing, allowing 6H/7ER, 3K:3BB in 4IP; Gonzalo Sanudo walked one in the 9th.

Chan Moon (BB, 3RBI) and J.D. Davis each had two hits including a triple; Jack Mayfield hit a solo homer, and Danry Vasquez was 1x3 with a walk to provide your offense. James Ramsay was 0x2 with 2BB.

Quad Cities (13-6)

Pitcher's duel in Quad Cities as Cedar Rapids and Quad Cities were tied 0-0 going into extras, and it stayed that way until the 11th when Cedar Rapids scratched out an unearned run to defeat Quad Cities 1-0. Bryan Radziewski allowed just 2H/0ER, 4K:0BB in 5IP and Joe Musgrove threw 6IP, 4H/1R (0ER), 1K:0BB but committed two of the River Bandits' four errors.

Mott Hyde was 3x5 with a double; Sean McMullen was 2x4 with a triple and a walk. Bobby Boyd and Nick Tanielu each had a hit and a walk.

Man of the Match: Both Radziewski and Musgrove, despite the two errors. The River Bandits were 0x8 w/RISP.
