Not that it is nearly that simple, but Domingo Santana was sent down, and David Martínez was recalled. It appears that the Astros will be happy to play short-handed on the bench and have an extra long-man in the 'pen for the foreseeable future.
Kiké Hernandez's and Marwin Gonzalez's positional flexibility help a lot with cobbling together lineups while playing one short.
