I blame Khris Karter. If he didn't suck so much I would feel a little better about having traded Lowrie in the first place.

I'm fine with it. It's time to get pissed that other teams are owning us with such little effort.

I'm happy to see them busting the opposition inside ... it's been used against us without comment for three years.

Lowrie is a bitch, and I stand by Clemens and Porter 100%. I could write an essay on this, but will keep it brief. Lowrie's arrogance (Stanford induced?) and ignorance caused him to think he did no wrong. I believe he should have never stared Clemens down the first time he got thrown at. If he simply puts his head down and accepts the retribution, I think the ordeal would have been squashed. I look forward to the remaining games with the A's to include some more fireworks. Love Porter's comment, "Baseball takes care of itself." I'll say it again. Lowrie is a bitch.

I want to call up Folty for an inning just to hit Lowrie again. Just take the win and leave...

"I want to call up Folty for an inning just to hit Lowrie again. Just take the win and leave..." <---- That is a great comment.

Second, I have to say that, while my hatred for Rangers fans overwhelms all, I'm starting to hate the A's team quite a bit! Eff those guys.

Clemens looked out of sorts yesterday. First he couldn't field a throw to first on a double play, then he twists his ankle after barely finding the bag on a play he should have practiced during PFPs in spring training.

I don't see the correlation between Springer getting hit in the first and Lowrie getting hit in the seventh other than he had been tearing us up all game.

As for Bo Porter, remember this is the guy who was yelling at the entire Cubs team when he was 3rd Base Coach for the Nats. http://nats.dcsportsnexus.com/2012/09/nats-brawl-phase-1-cubs-bench-coach.html I like the fire in his belly.

It's time for the Astros to stop letting everyone walk all over them. I don't know if Bo is going to be the one to lead this team back to respectability, quite frankly, I doubt that he will, but at least he shows some emotion and stands up to punks like Lowrie.

Lowrie needs to grow a pair and stop being a little b*_*_h. He had to know bunting in that last game would piss some people off. He had to expect to get hit at some point. The Astros missed but he wouldn't shut up about it by calling out the Astros and Porter after the game instead of just accepting the retaliation. So, if the Astros threw at him again, he deserved it.

The Astros aren't going to get any respect anyways - so why not be the bad boys of baseball?

Lowrie is an idiot. Clemens is an idiot. Not sure about Porter.

Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

Pretty sure that Kevin Towers has the market cornered for Arizona on being "the bad boys of baseball." And I do think it was rather dumb to get so angry at Lowrie over a 1st-inning bunt. Throwing at him two or three times afterwards is even dumber (and I don't believe that any of those were accidental, on Clemens' or Porter's part).

However, all of that said, I love Bo Porter's fire. I'd rather see a manager get angry unnecessarily than a manager who doesn't seem to care at all. Clemens only did what pitchers have been doing for decades, so he's a baseball player. As long as he's not aiming for guys' heads, I'll accept it. And I'm not calling Jed Lowrie "Dickie Thon" anymore, because I kinda think he's a punk now, but whatever.

It's baseball.

I'm glad it happened before I turned the game off.

I think all parties should just STFU.

I'm not sure what Bo expected. If you're going to over shift then that's on you and you cannot cry if teams try to take advantage of that. That's what you're doing by shifting is simply trying to get an advantage.

If you don't like teams running up the score then don't let them score.

Bo Porter might be the one Astros prospect that needs to grow up the most.

Lowrie is acting like a whiny little bitch. it's not like he took a 90 mph fastball to the face, right DDJ? just shut up already.

It's bad enough when the batter gets hit unintentionally. I don't like pitchers intentionally hitting batters, whether it's my team doing it or not, for whatever reason they're doing it. There's a penalty for that.
