CSN Houston owes the Astros almost $28m

David Barron has an interesting piece on the financial cluste issues facing CSN Houston and the Astros and Rockets. Here's your money line (pun intended):

The Astros and Rockets each claim they are owed more than $27 million in unpaid rights fees by Comcast SportsNet Houston, according to documents filed Monday in the network’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

That's a lot of money, right? Like, a year's worth of payroll for the 2013 Astros. Ton of money. Well maybe not for Comcast, who bought Time Warner Cable for $45.2 billion last week. So, you know, they're just strapped.
