The Astros are waiting to see if 2013 bench coach Eduardo Perez will stay, but in a new role, or take a job with another team.
UPDATE: Craig Bjornson is the new bullpen coach, former MLB shortstop Pat Listach has been hired as the 1B coach, and Eduardo Perez is returning as 3B coach, as is hitting coach John Mallee.
Listach finished his playing career with the Astros in 1997 and went into coaching. He was the manager of the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx in 2006, the Tennessee Smokies in 2007, and the Iowa Cubs in 2008, where he won the PCL Manager of the Year award. In 2009 Listach joined the Nationals' coaching staff as 3B coach before serving as the Cubs' bench coach in 2010 and 3B coach in 2012. Last season he was the minor-league infield coordinator for the Dodgers.
