PreStros Morning Report: June 24

Oklahoma City (40-36), 3.5 GB

OKC had a 2-1 lead heading into the 6th, but two Omaha runs gave them the margin for a 3-2 win over the RedHawks. Phil Humber got the hard-luck loss with 7IP, 6H/3R (1ER), 3K:1BB, 2HBP, 2WP; Jose Valdez allowed only a hit in the final two innings.

Brett Wallace (2B) and Jake Elmore were each 2x4; Jimmy Paredes hit a 2-run homer. Jon Homerton was 1x3 with a walk.

Man of the Match: Unbelievably, Phil Humber.


All-Star Break

Lancaster (5-0), 1.5 up

The JetHawks remain undefeated in the 2nd Half with three two-run innings for a 6-3 win over Bakersfield. Tyson Perez threw 3.1IP, 5H/2ER, 3K:3BB; Michael Dimock threw 1.2IP, 2H/0ER, 0K:1BB and David Rollins closed it out with the 12-out save, allowing 2H/1ER, 7K:1BB.

Carlos Perdomo was 3x5 with an RBI; MP Cokinos was 2x3 with a double and 4RBI; Delino DeShields  was 0x4 with a walk and two runs scored. Preson Tucker was 1x3 with a double and walk.

Tri-City got shut down by Connecticut in a 4-0 loss in which the ValleyCats collected four hits. Michael Feliz threw 5IP, 3H/2R (0ER), 4K:0BB; Charles Basford allowed 2H/1ER in 1IP; Andrew Thurman allowed 4H/1ER in 2IP.

Elizabethton scored the first seven runs in a 7-2 win over the Gastros.
