The Hooks shut out the Springfield Cardinals by a score of 5-0. David Martinez and Asher Wojciechowski combined for 9 IP, allowing 3 hits, walking 5 and striking out 7. The Hooks team ERA is at 1.57 after last nights game,

Austin Wates hit his first homer of the year, a solo shot, in the 1st. Wates was a double shy of the cycle. scoring 2 runs, walking once, and knocking in 2. Domingo Santana notched his second long ball of the year in the 6th inning, also a solo shot. Michael Burgess was 2 for 5 with a double. Jiovani Mier had one hit, a double, as well as two RBI and a walk. Rene Garcia also had a hit and a run scored. George Springer was 0 for 5 at the plate with 4 K's.

Men of the match: David Martinez and Asher WoJo. Keeping up the trend of solid pitching in Corpus.

Lancaster (6-1)

Lancaster defeated the Modesto Nuts (3-5) by a score of 5-1, collecting 10 hits and committing 3 errors. Nolan Fontana hit his 4th double of the season for his only hit of the evening and K'd twice. Rafael Valenzuela and Preston Tucker also had doubles. Drew Muren and MP Cokinos had multi hit games. Zach Johnson and Matt Duffy each had a hit.

David Rollins got his 2nd win of the season pitching 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and an unearned run. Rollings struck out 4 and walked none.
Tyson Perez followed Rollins with 4 innings of perfect baseball, striking out 4 and earning his 1st save.
