Bud Selig: "I'm the villain"

I'm sure we'll hear more about this in the hours to come, but Reid Laymance - Deputy Sports Editor at the Chronicle - just tweeted what seem to be quotes from Bud Selig:

Bud Selig: Astros will work out fine in AL ... If you want a villain, it's me because I decided it ... a great rivalry with Texas.

I wish Selig would just shut his mouth. His attempt at damage control is almost as laughable as his thought that Arlington vs Houston is a "great rivalry" in the making. We already had great rivalries with teams like the Braves and Cardinals. Rivalries are cemented in the playoffs, not on a map... especially not when one team is bad and the other is somewhere between above-average and great and the other is somewhere between laughingstock and disgrace to the game.

I agree. I too think the Rangers are a disgrace to the game.

Beyond that, my only response to this posting is: No sh*t.

Nolan Ryan was *THE* readson Selig
kicked the Astros to the curb......
PERIOD. The Diamond Backs
ASKED to move to the AL, because of
playing so many games in the West.
So Bud Selig can go f#*k himself.
