2012 schedule released

The basic 2012 schedule has been released, and the Astros will again open the season at home - against the Rockies and Braves. The April 10, 2012 game against Atlanta will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the franchise's first game.

Interleague series will come against the Rangers (derp), White Sox, Royals, and Indians.

The Phillies come get swept in Houston from September 13-16, and MLB has given the Astros the screw-gee by scheduling road series on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Thanks, Bud.

Figures MLB would schedule us on the road for every summer holiday... Selig is the worst & most biased commissioner ever.

Actually, I'm kinda surprised Bud didn't go ahead & schedule us in the AL west. It's not like he even needs to ask, he just does whatever he wants (whatever helps the brewers) anyway.

AGAIN, with the missing out on summer holiday games?! Can't some kind of computer algorithm pass that around? Unless...they just schedule those games on the basis of a team's marketability/sexiness...in which case it's probably a permanent fixture of the program. 8-(
