Eddie's Farm: August 10

Round Rock

It's the Triple-A debut of Jordan Lyles! Everything else was secondary. Like the fact that the Express lost to Sacramento 5-1. In 6IP, Lyles allowed 8H/4ER, 9K:1BB, 2HR, 1HBP. 70 of his 96 pitches were for strikes. Otherwise, Fernando Abad allowed a hit, walk, and strikeout before Chris Sampson came in for 2.2IP, 3H/1ER, 0K:1BB. Tommy Manzella was 2x4 in his rehab start, while Brian Bogusevic was 1x2 with 2BB (the only walks the Express drew all night). Chris Shelton provided the RBI for the lone run. Drew Locke was 1x4, but got an outfield assist nailing Buck at home.

Man of the Match: How do we not give it to Lyles, with his 9K in 6IP?
