Eddie's Farm: June 13

Round Rock (29-34)

Down 3-1, the Express got two in the top of the 6th to tie it up, but gave one right back for a 4-3 loss at New Orleans. They won the first game of the four-game series, but dropped the next three. Andy Van Hekken threw 5IP, 7H/3ER, 7K:0BB for the start, and Yorman Bazardo gave up two hits, three walks, and the go-ahead run for the loss. The Express only got one extra-base hit on Oswaldo Navarro's double, but got two hits each from Navarro, Chris Johnson, and Drew Locke. Bogusevic, Johnson, and Bourgeois had the RBI.

Man of the Match: Chris Johnson

Corpus Christi (30-31)

The Hooks flat-out gave it away, turning a 4-1 lead against San Antonio to a 5-4 loss after a 4-run eighth inning helped by T.J. Steele's lost fly ball. Doug Arguello threw 5IP, 3H/0ER, 4K:3BB but was tossed after arguing balls and strikes - as a hitter. The bullpen of Villar, Payano, Peguero, and Walker then combined for 4IP, 6H/5ER, 4K:7BB, meaning the Hooks pitching staff walked ten yesterday. The Hooks got multi-hit games from Jack Shuck (3x5), German Duran (2x4) and Lou Santangelo (2x4), while Koby Clemens hit his 16th homer and walked twice.

Man of the Match: Koby Clemens
