Bob Wechsler doesn't think much of his favorite team. Or ours. Or anything else from Texas.

In the age of the internet, this is ballsy. The Lehigh Valley Express-Times' Bob Wechsler is so fed up with his Baltimore Orioles that he has declared himself a free agent, and is trying to find a new favorite team. Hey, if you're a soon-to-be ex-Orioles fan, join the Astros bandwagon. Baltimore is where Astros go to fade to black. So what do you say, Bob? What's that? You've already ruled out the Astros and Rangers?

There's no way I can support any sports team from Texas. The only worthwhile things in Texas are Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountain national parks.

That got personal quick. I was on board with the "any sports team" from Texas, but then it just got silly. Haven't you ever been to Storm's in Hamilton or Lampasas, jerk?

Some joe schmo fan made national news for the same stunt 15-20 years ago... maybe it was right after the strike.

I don't think you can get a new team. You're stuck with the one you grow up loving. One of Bill Simmons' rules of being a sports fan.
