With yesterday's loss to the Brewers (I can't bring myself to do a recap), the Astros were officially eliminated from postseason contention, as opposed to Theoretically Eliminated - which occurred on July 24, when Berkman left the game with an injury.

Paulino pitched well - giving up four earned in six innings, but Coop still had some rough things to say, setting up a February/March fight for SP5:
"There’s a lot of potential there, but there has to be a little more quality, particularly early in the game."

Paulino has given up 10 runs in 15 1st innings this season, so it's merited, but he has received zero run support (and that's a literal number) in his last four starts.
