Astros make minor-league trade

Evan Drellich just, like, out of nowhere, tweeted that the Astros traded pitcher Michael Dimock to the Padres for RHP Miguel Severino.

Dimock was the Astros' 37th Round pick of the 2012 draft. At Lancaster in 2013, Dimock allowed 41H/19ER, with 36K:12BB in 41.2IP. In 2014 for Corpus, Dimock had posted 27.1IP, allowing 26H/10ER, 21K:7BB in 27.1IP.

Severino is a 21-year old 6'3" 180lb RHP out of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He signed as an international free agent with the Padres and has, struggled a bit with his control. In 2012, his professional debut, Severino threw 38.1IP, 30H/18ER, with 26K:24BB. In 2013 in domestic Rookie Ball, he threw 20.1IP, allowing 25H/20ER, 17K:26BB. Back in the Dominican Summer League, Severino has thrown in four games, facing 17 batters and walking nine of them.
