PreStros Morning Report: April 9

TL;DR

*Affiliates go 2-1 on the day.
*Ronny Torreyes hit a two-run go-ahead single in the 9th for a 2-1 OKC win.
*Tony Kemp hit a grand slam in a 3x4, 6RBI day for Lancaster, who beat San Jose 9-4.
*Jandel Gustave struggles and Tyler White gets 4RBI in a Quad Cities loss at Lansing.

Oklahoma City (5-2)

Another game, another late rally by an affiliate. OKC was down 2-1 heading into the top of the 9th at New Orleans. New Orleans pitcher Chris Hatcher walked the bases loaded with one out and Ronny Torreyes singled to bring in Domingo Santana (pinch-running for Max Stassi) and Erik Castro. Jason Stoffel retired the side in order for a 2-1 OKC win. Collin McHugh threw 4IP allowing 5H/2ER, 3K:2BB; Jose Cisnero struck out one in the 5th; Nick Tropeano got the win with 1H/0ER, 1K:1BB in 3IP, and Jason Stoffel recorded his 3rd save.

Gregorio Petit was 2x4 with a double; Max Stassi hit a solo homer and drew a walk; Austin Wates got a hit and Torreyes got the two-run go-ahead single. Jon Singleton and George Springer were a combined 0x7 with 4K.

Corpus (5-1)

Lancaster (5-2)

A six-run 6th inning propelled the JetHawks to a 9-4 win over San Jose. Chris Devenski threw 5IP, giving up 4H/2ER, 4K:0BB and Josh Hader allowed 3H/2ER, 4K:0BB in 4IP, bringing his season total to 14K in 8IP.

Tony Kemp was 3x4 with a grand slam and six total RBI; Teoscar Hernandez was 2x4 with a triple, homer, 2RBI, and a walk. Carlos Perdomo was 2x3 with a triple and a walk, and Dan Gulbransen was 1x3 with a walk.

Quad Cities (2-4)

Quad Cities took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first at Lansing, but gave it right back in the bottom half. They scored two runs in the top of the 5th but that's as close as they'd get in a 6-4 loss at Lansing. Jandel Gustave allowed 7H/5ER, 4K:0BB in 2.2IP; Zach Morton struck out four of the five batters he faced, and Kent Emanuel allowed 3H/1ER, 3K:0BB in 4IP.

Tyler White was 2x4 with two doubles and four RsBI; Jack Mayfield was 2x4 with a walk. Chase McDonald was 1x3 with two walks.
