Astros Avoid Arbitration In Its Entirety

The Astros only had two players up for arbitration, Jesus Guzman and Jason Castro. They settled with both prior to the 1 p.m. eastern deadline. They have therefore avoided having to tell a newly acquired player and 2013 team MVP why they aren't worth as much as they think in front of an arbitrator.

Jon Heyman reports that Castro got $2.45 million. A real bargain for a 4 win catcher. Guzman's deal was not disclosed.
