With the 1st pick of the 34th Round (1007th overall), the Astros select 5'10" 205lb C Brett Booth from the University of Alabama.

Booth, who also played 3B for Alabama, hit .290/.378/.411 with 6 home runs. He was named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Tournament team this year.
