With the 1st pick of the 27th Round (797th overall), the Astros select 6'3" 200lb RHP Pat Christensen from La Salle University.
Pat was named Big 5 pitcher and student-athlete of the year in 2013 after finishing his college career with the 5th most saves in Division 1 history with 44 saves.
This season he appeared in 24 games, going 6-1 with 11 saves and a 2.52 ERA. His fastball sits in the mid to high 80s and he also throws a slider and changeup.
